The Best of Czech and World Classical Music

Church of St. Martin in the Wall

A Romanesque church built before 1187 and later rebuilt in the Gothic style became the site of the revival of communion under both kinds in 1414. Closed and sold in 1784, it was repurposed as a warehouse, housing, and shops. In the early 20th century, it was purchased and restored by the city of Prague, and after World War I, leased long-term to the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Today, it hosts regular and special church services, as well as concerts and exhibitions.

Church Services

You are warmly invited to join our church services:
Sundays at 10:30 in German and 19:30 in Czech.
We also welcome you to our prayer breakfast at 7:30.

Taizé Prayer Services

Join us for a Taizé prayer service in Czech and English, held at 19:30 on the first Monday of each month (except July and August).

We cordially invite you to regular concerts of classical music. The most famous compositions by Czech and International composers are performed by a string quartet. For more information continue reading here.

Come to relax during the hustle and bustle of Christmas and listen to the beautiful classical music. The hall is heated and has excellent acoustics. The concert lasts approximately one hour.
